The next installment in the Intimate Concert Series hosted by Arbor Gallery and Saken Music features artists Jocelyn Pettit and Ellen Gira, a fiddle and cello duo that have shown incredible talent both as solo artists and in their work together.

On Saturday, August 13, internationally renown duo Jocelyn Pettit and Ellen Gira will fill Arbor Gallery with their soulful and uplifting music, for an Intimate Concert Series evening. The dynamic fiddle and cello duo will present songs from Scotland, Ireland, North America, Scandinavia, in unique vocal harmonies and lively step dancing.

Hailing from the West Coast of Canada and the East Coast of the USA respectively, Pettit and Gira came together in Scotland in 2018 to combine their energetic and multi-faceted sounds on original compositions and interpretations of existing songs. While a visual treat for audiences can be the energizing step dancing that can sometimes punctuate the music on the lively reels, it is also a beautiful show to see the connection between the artists and hear the hauntingly beautiful sounds of the slower, melancholier tunes.

The duo is touring Ontario to promote their first album together, the recently released All It Brings. The album is a culmination of their talents as artists to bring their own unique blend of Celtic and folk styles to a selection of songs for listeners to enjoy.

Tickets are $20, with reservations at, or $25 at the door. Seating is limited, so reservations through Saken are strongly recommended.
