Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Bradley Johnson of St-Isidore. He matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the June 22, 2022, LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000!
Johnson said he has only been playing the lottery for about four months.
“I would always tell people that winning never happens,” he admitted. “I was influenced by my dad, who is a regular player of LOTTO 6/49 – and he always adds ENCORE.”
The 39-year-old construction worker said he was on his way into work one morning when he stopped to check his ticket.
“When the terminal shut down, I started celebrating before I even knew how much I won,” he laughed.
Johnson said he was trying to convince his girlfriend of his win, but it was hard because he hadn’t convinced himself yet.
“When she realized it was real, she burst into tears.”
This win is very meaningful for Johnson and his girlfriend.
“We’ve been trying to start a family together for years, so this will help us with fertility treatments. This win will help our dreams come true,” he concluded.
The winning ticket was purchased at Ultramar on St. Catherine Street in St. Isidore.
