Vankleek Hill Porchfest 2022 is back this Saturday, July 16, with a full slate of music from noon until 5 p.m. and a new after party jam at the Windsor Tavern.

Local band 50 PROOF will open up Porchfest at the Arbor Gallery from Noon until 1 p.m. From 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. there will then be three bands performing at separate locations each hour, on Higginson, Main, Mill and Hamil streets, so that all of the acts are well spaced. Signage, schedules and water stations will be available on each street.

“There are some great bands and individual performers at Porchfest this year,” observes Porchfest 2022 Chairman Martin Lacelle, who will also be performing with his band Highway 34 at the event. “We’ve tried to space all of the acts out so people have a pristine listening experience wherever they go.”

“Just pick your favorite spot or performer, set up with a lawn chair and enjoy the music.”

Low’s Realty is back for 2022 as Porchfest’s major sponsor, along with multiple minor sponsors to help make the event possible. Signage and schedules, along with water stations provided by Vankleek Hill Foodland, will be located on each street.

New for 2022 will be an after party and open jam for all of Porchfest’s musicians at the Windsor Tavern’s outdoor patio, beginning at 6 p.m.

“One of the best things about Porchfest for the musicians is meeting other musicians,” Lacelle noted. “All of the performers at Porchfest play for free for the love of the community, performing and socializing with other bands. This is a great way to expand that by allowing them to play together at the after party.”
