Two alumni basketball games were played at Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute (VCI) last Saturday (May 21), featuring former students who represented graduating years spanning several decades.

“It was great to see so many former students and staff attend the event,” said VCI physical education teacher Dan Tremblay. “We hope to continue having this event as a yearly tradition.”

The two games featured VCI graduates from the 1970s through to recent years. Organizers were grateful to have experienced referees Eric Rainey and long-time Pleasant Corner Public School (PCPS) physical education teacher Sid MacCallum to officiate the games.

The event was aimed at helping to get the VCI Warriors and Rebels community back together after two years of limited activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
