A man facing possible drug-related charges who was also wanted on outstanding warrants was arrested by Sûreté du Québec (SQ) officers in Brownsburg-Chatham on May 10.
A vehicle was intercepted for an impaired driving check near rue des Érables and Route 327. Police recognized a passenger who was wanted under several arrest warrants in Ontario. During the intervention with the suspect, more than 175 methamphetamine tablets were seized.
The 26-year-old man was arrested and later released on summons. He will have to return to court at a later date in Saint-Jérôme. He could face charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers also arrived to execute the arrest warrants they had for the suspect in Ontario.
