Police recently stopped a driver travelling at more than the posted speed limit in Brownsburg-Chatham.
Around 12:30 p.m. on May 2, Sûreté du Québec officers from the Operational Support Team intercepted a vehicle for excessive speeding on rue des Érables, in Brownsburg-Chatham. The vehicle was travelling at 106 kilomtres per hour in a 50 kilometres per hour zone. A 46-year-old man from Brownsburg-Chatham received a ticket totaling $879 and 10 demerit points for his speeding. His driver’s license was suspended for a period of seven days.

Courses of action are implemented in each of the distinct areas: Partnership, Intervention, Awareness, Technology, Evaluation (PISTE) by the Sûreté du Québec and its partners, in order to work together towards a common objective, that of making roads, trails and bodies of water safer.
