Racine mysteriously disappeared on November 5, 1920, and his fate has remained unknown. While there is some belief that Racine was murdered and his body tossed into the water, an autopsy determined he died by drowning. There is yet considerable mystery regarding Racine’s movements prior to his disappearance.
