The mood was vibrant and inspiring on Sunday for local artist Jessica Sarrazin’s vernissage at Arbor Gallery in Vankleek Hill. Visitors showed up in a steady flow to admire Altered States exhibition, running until April 24. The relaxed rhythm allowed for vibrant conversations and exchanges with the artist, and for a thorough visit of the gallery’s collection by artists members and gift shop.

Conversation with Tom Cooper highly anticipated by former neighbours and friends

Places filling up quickly for conversation evening with author and storyteller Tom Cooper.

Well-liked by his former community of Vankleek Hill, Cooper returns to Arbor Gallery on April 23, when he will present a few short stories from his books, offering glimpses into the comedically frenetic side of everyday senior life from his light-hearted, at times irreverent perspective.

“Our conversation series evenings take a casual yet structured approach,” explains gallery’s Sylvie Bouchard, “Tom will first present his stories, and then guests will be invited to chime in, having a conversation. We are quite looking forward to it.”

Cooper will be at the gallery on Saturday, April 23, in the Main Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Admission: $10 suggested donation at the door. Limited seating, reservations strongly recommended by writing to [email protected].

Tom’s books will be available on site that evening. They are also available for sale locally at The Review (online and from the shop) and at Vankleek Cottage.
