An OPP search for a Hawkesbury teenager reported missing after a house party in Alfred-Plantagenet has ended in tragedy.
On 28 March 2022, after an extensive search along trails in the area of Concession Road 2 in the township, officers of the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located 18-year-old Maleek Zaki deceased. The Hawkesbury man had been previously reported missing.
On March 27, at approximately 11 p.m. officers with the Hawkesbury Detachment of the OPP responded to an 18-year-old male who attended a house party, on Concession Road 2 in Alfred-Plantagenet Township, on March 26, and had not been seen or communicated with family since 3 a.m. The Hawkesbury OPP, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, and the OPP Helicopter assisted with the search of the area of Alfred-Plantagenet.
