Vankleek Hill’s HOPE 225 project will soon have a new logo.

Judges are meeting this week to pick the winning logo for area businesses and events to use in promoting Vankleek Hill’s 225th anniversary in their advertising. The logo contest for students is being held as part of the HOPE 225 project to celebrate during 2022 the 225th anniversary of the founding of Vankleek Hill. Submissions for the contest closed in December.

The winning logo will also be used on a 2022 community calendar, to which local organizations and businesses are adding their public events. For example, in 2022 the Vankleek Hill Museum is opening its permanent exhibit to celebrate the presence of the Indigenous peoples.

The winners of the HOPE 225 logo contest will be announced on January 7.
