Sûreté du Québec officers from the MRC d´Argenteuil and Mirabel municipal police officers carried out checkpoints for impaired driving on December 22 at the intersection of Route Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier (Route 158) and Route Arthur-Sauvé (Route 148), between 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
During evening, approximately 120 drivers were stopped. One person had to take a screening test and one person was arrested for impaired driving. The suspect could also face charges of possession of narcotics and possession of a prohibited weapon. Another suspect was arrested on several arrest warrants.
Intensified interventions by police across Québec against impaired driving due to alcohol and drugs will continue until January 3, 2022.
