Repairs are coming in the months ahead at a major intersection in Lachute.
On December 6, the municipal council approved an expense limit of $1,480,000 for intersection improvements, and to the traffic lights at the intersection of rue Principale and avenue Hamford.
Mayor Bernard Bigras-Denis said the repairs are necessary. Drivers often use avenue Hamford as a shortcut between rue Principale and avenue de la Providence, and to access the arena.
The notice of motion for the project was moved be Councillor Christian David, and the motion to deposit the project was moved by Councillor Gaëtan Larose.
