December 4 is festive market day in Brownsburg-Chatham

Festive fun outdoors is coming to the Brownsburg-Chatham municipal campground.

The Marché Festif festive market is being held on December 4 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. The outdoor skating trails at the campground will also open for the season at that time.

Entertainment is planned for the day, with vendor kiosks, craft breweries, and distilleries. On the stage, Les Bas De Laine will be presented by La Branche Culturelle from 7:15 to 9 p.m. A 15-minute firework display will light up the sky at 8 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be making a visit to see the children.

Access to the grounds will be free, however visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Guignolée de la Paroisse Sainte-Trinité which is taking place on the same day. A free shuttle will be available from 3 p.m. from rue des Érables to the Marché Festif site.

Visitors must present a valid vaccination passport and photo ID.

Cash and shopping bags are also recommended for visitors planning to make purchases.

Opening the 530-metre of illuminated skating trails will depend on the weather. The skating trail will be open each Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Access will be free for residents of Brownsburg-Chatham, but the usual day use rate will apply for non-residents. The bathroom buildings will remain open, and a heated space will be available for visitors to put on their skates.

The Brownsburg-Chatham municipal campground is located at 457 Route des Outaouais (Route 344).
