The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual in relation to the child luring incident that occurred at the Municipal Skate Park.
On November 2, members of the Hawkesbury OPP responded to a child luring incident that occurred at approximately 11 a.m. Initial investigation revealed that an individual was seen speaking and attempting to lure two young persons at the Hawkesbury Municipal Skate Park. Because of the intervention of a passerby who told them to run away, the youths were not harmed and able to leave.
The accused was held for bail and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on November 24.
