The Hawkesbury Hawks Junior A team is looking for a team doctor to help care for the players during the 2021-2022 Central Canada Hockey League season.

Team officials are hoping to find a local physician to work with the players and help reduce the wait time they currently face when someone is sick or injured. The team doctor would not have to attend games or practices, but would be available for the team to schedule appointments for players as required.

“Some of the players, if we have to send them to the hospital or a clinic, are spending four or five hours just to get medication because they’ve got the flu,” explained Hawks Head Coach and General Manager Rick Dorval. “If a player needs to see a doctor for a non-urgent matter, this would be somebody that we could call and make an appointment.”

Any local physicians who would like to help out the Hawks are asked to contact Rick Dorval via email at [email protected].
