Operation Spay and Neuter (OSN) is hosting an ongoing garage sale online to help raise funds for the Hawkesbury-based non-profit cat rescue organization.

The OSN Fundraiser Garage SALE Page is offering up all types of items donated by supporters, including clothing, pet supplies and numerous other items. All of the money raised through sales on the page is used to help for pay veterinary bills and to purchase cat food for OSN, which is located in Hawkesbury, but works to rescue felines both in the town itself and throughout the surrounding area.

“As we get things donated, we will be adding more items to the page,” said OSN founder and owner Pat Bracelin. “There’s going to be a little bit of everything.”

Operation Spay and Neuter is also hoping to organize a silent auction to help raise funds for the organization. Anyone who would like to donate to the silent auction or to the regular online garage sale can contact Bracelin through OSN’s Facebook page.

“The more items we get, the better,” Bracelin noted. “We are always trying to raise money for the cats for food and vet bills.”

OSN currently has several cats available for adoption. The non-profit rescue has lowered its adoption fees recently to encourage people to adopt the felines. For adult cats one to eight years old, adoption fees have been lowered to $165. The fee includes spaying or neutering, all shots and even a microchip.

Senior cats nine years or older can be adopted for only $75. OSN has through the years focused more on help for adult and senior cats, who can be more difficult to find homes for than young cats or kittens.

“I deal with the older cats – the ones who are harder to place,” Bracelin noted.
