On Monday, August 2, 2021, at 5 p.m., officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for service on Ferry Road in Chute-à-Blondeau, Ontario.
Witnesses reported that a suspect had engaged in an indecent act in a public area by the river. Police investigation led to the arrest of the suspect.
A 76-years-old man from Champlain Township has been charged with one count of Indecent Act in a Public Place.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday September 1, 2021, at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal.
