Motorcycle police officers from the Sûreté du Québec’s road safety support unit, as well as officers from the MRC d’Argenteuil station, carried out several road safety enforcement efforts over the May 15 to 16 weekend. They focused their efforts on Route 329 between Lachute and Gore.

More than 13 infractions were issued by police, including one to a motorcyclist who was traveling at 150 kilometres per hour in a 90 kilometres per hour zone in Gore. A motorcyclist received a ticket for reckless driving when he was seen riding a wheel in the Lachute area. Four motorcyclists also received tickets for non-compliant mufflers.

A 27-year-old man from Gore received a ticket of $1,550 and four demerit points for driving at high speed and making a prohibited overtaking of another vehicle on Route 329.

Further road safety operations are planned in this area in the coming days.
