Champlain Library patron Janet Charbonneau won a book for submitting a poem that she wrote for National Poetry Month.

Here is Janet’s poem in its entirety.

The joy that Spring brings!

How things change.
From bundling up in clothes.
With the cold buffeting your cheeks.
And gloved hands feeling chilled.
But now the world is warmer.
Brown branches have green leaves pushing up.
Small flowers are bursting out from the soil.
Birds chirp in the morning.
Spring has come!
