Hawkesbury Hydro is warning customers about a home inspection scam.
Some customers have received phone calls stating that a home inspection is required in order to be eligible for the COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program (CEAP).
Hawkesbury Hydro wants its customers to know that a home inspection is NOT required for CEAP eligibility.
The Ontario Energy Board and Hawkesbury Hydro do not phone customers to offer rebates or schedule home visits.
