The MRC d’Argenteuil is offering help to residents who need a ride to get their COVID-19 vaccination.

The transport department has adjusted the Taxibus and paratransit services to allow residents of the MRC’s nine municipalities to get to the vaccination center located Kevin-Lowe-Pierre-Pagé Arena in Lachute.

The MRC has improved the hours and changed the the terms of use of its transport services in order to meet the needs of residents requiring vaccination.

Mandatory reservation

Once they have the date and time of their vaccine appointment confirmed, people can book their travel to the MRC transport department by calling 450-562-5797. Reservations must be made no later than 2 p.m. the day before the trip. For the trips on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, reservations must be made on Friday before 2 p.m.

The usual fares apply, either $3.75, $4.25 or $4.75 per trip, depending on the fare zone in which the user’s place of residence is located. The type of service may vary depending on users and vehicle availability.

Health measures on board vehicles

Since the start of the pandemic, several preventive and clean-up measures, and additional vehicles have been deployed to ensure the safety of all.   These include:

  • Limiting the number of passengers on board vehicles (adapted taxis and minibuses)
  • Hand sanitizer for users
  • Compulsory masks for drivers and passengers
  • Increased cleaning and daily disinfection of vehicles with special attention given to surfaces most affected by users.
