Active COVID-19 cases among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil decreased during the past weekend, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.  As of Monday, February 22, there were 16 active cases across Argenteuil.  On Friday, February 19, there had been 22 active cases.

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 across Argenteuil remained at 21 as of Monday.

On Monday, there were a total of 446 active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides region of Québec.

The CISSS des Laurentides reported that 16,874 residents of the region had been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of February 22.

Cases in schools and long-term care facilities

The Québec government reported active cases of COVID-19 at the following schools across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of February 19:

Laurentian Regional High School in Lachute

Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute

As of February 22, no active cases of COVID-19 were present at long-term care facilities in the MRC d’Argenteuil.

Québec statistics

According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 8,112 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as Monday, February 22.  The number of active cases had increased by 805 from February 21 to February 22.

There were 689 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of February 22, and 117 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 10,318 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of February 22, which was an increase of 11 deaths from February 21.

Restrictions

Under Québec’s regional system of COVID-19 emergency measures, the MRC d’Argenteuil, and the entire Laurentides region, is a red zone.

The curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ban on gatherings in private homes and on private land, and compulsory working from home remain in effect.
