There were 10 fewer active cases of COVID-19 among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil as of Friday, February 12 than there were on Thursday, February 11.

According to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority, as of Friday, there were 14 active cases of COVID-19 across the MRC d’Argenteuil, which was a decrease from 24 active cases on Thursday.

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 across Argenteuil remained at 20 as of February 12.

On Friday, there were a total of 458 active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides region of Québec.

Cases in schools and long-term care facilities

The Québec government reported active cases of COVID-19 at the following schools across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of February 12:

Séminaire du Sacré-Coeur in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge

École St-Philippe in Brownsburg-Chatham

Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute

As of February 11, four cases of COVID-19 were active at the Résidence de Lachute, and one case of COVID-19 was active at the CHSLD Argenteuil long-term care facility in Lachute.

Québec statistics

 

According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 10,657 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Friday, February 12.  The number of active cases had increased by 984 from February 11 to February 12.

There were 849 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of February 12, and 137 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 10,173 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of February 12, which was an increase of 24 deaths from February 11.

Changes to restriction

Under Québec’s regional system of COVID-19 emergency measures, the MRC d’Argenteuil, and all of the Laurentides region, is a red zone.

The curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ban on gatherings in private homes and on private land, and compulsory working from home remain in effect.
