On Saturday, February 6, 2021, shortly before 6:00 p.m., Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a structural fire located on St-Joseph Street in Casselman. Firefighters from the Casselman Fire Department were already at scene. It is believed that the fire was started on purpose.

An unknown person was observed running away from the structure when the incident occurred. There were no injuries at the fire scene.

The Russell County OPP Crime Unit and Ontario Fire Marshall’s Officer are continuing to investigate.
