There were no changes in the number of active cases of COVID-19 among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil as of Friday, January 29. For the second day, there were 70 active cases, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority. Across the entire Laurentides region of Québec, there were 843 active cases of COVID-19 as of January 29, a decrease from 909 cases on January 28.
The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Argenteuil remained at 15 on Friday.

As of January 28, COVID-19 cases were present at the Résidence de Lachute, Résidence Médaillion d’or Lachute, and at the CHSLD Argenteuil long-term care facility in Lachute.

There were 1,217 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of January 28, and 209 of those patients were in intensive care.
There had been 9,717 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of January 28, which was an increase of 50 deaths from January 27.
