As of Tuesday, January 26, there were 66 active cases of COVID-19 among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.  On Monday, January 25, there were 63 active cases across Argenteuil.  Across the entire Laurentides region of Québec, there were 865 active cases of COVID-19 as of January 26.

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Argenteuil remained at 15 on Tuesday.

The Québec government reported active cases of COVID-19 at the following schools across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of January 25:

Laurentian Regional High School in Lachute

Laurentian Elementary School in Lachute

Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute

École Bouchard in Brownsburg

As of January 25, COVID-19 cases were present at the Résidence Médaillion d’or Lachute, and at the CHSLD Argenteuil long-term care facility in Lachute.

The curfew across Québec intended to reduce the spread of COVID-19 continues from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly until February 8.  All citizens are to remain at home during that time, unless for specific medical, employment, or emergency reasons.

According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 15,622 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Monday, January 25.  The number of active cases had increased by 1,166 from January 24 to January 25.  There were 256,002 cumulative cases and 230,803 resolved cases across Québec as of January 25.

There were 1,324 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of January 25, and 217 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 9,577 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of January 25, which was an increase of 56 deaths from January 24.
