The number of active COVID-19 cases among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil remained at 13 as of Tuesday, December 15, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.  The number of active cases had not changed since Friday, December 11.  As of December 15, there had been 291 cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Argenteuil.

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Argenteuil remained at 11 as of December 15, and there had been, and 345 deaths across the Laurentides, as of December 15, according to the CISSS des Laurentides.

Schools and long-term care

As of December 14, an unspecified number of COVID-19 cases were listed by the Québec government at the following schools across the MRC d’Argenteuil.

École Dansereau-St-Martin in Grenville

Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute

Laurentian Regional High School in Lachute

No cases were listed at long-term care facilities or retirement residences across the MRC d`Argenteuil as of December 14.

The MRC d’Argenteuil remained as an orange zone under Québec`s regional system of COVID-19 measures as of Tuesday.  However, it will become a temporary red zone, along with almost every other region of Québec beginning on Thursday, December 17, until January 11.

There were 16,811 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Monday, December 14, according to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ).  There were 167,276 cumulative cases and 142,894 resolved cases as of Monday.

There were 959 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of December 14, and 125 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 7,571 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of December 14.
