Wondering what to do with your empties during this upcoming holiday season? Look no further. The Friends of the Champlain Library is holding a bottle drive between December 7 to January 8 to raise funds for future programming. Donations of empty beer, wine and spirit bottles and cans will be accepted during this campaign. All donations can be dropped off at the library at 94 Main Street in Vankleek Hill from Monday to Friday, 1 pm to 5 pm in the entrance of the library. Please do not leave empties outside the library.

The fundraising efforts of the Friends of the Library have been curtailed this past year due to many restrictions, so please consider donating your empties on the group’s behalf. In the past, the Friends group has been involved in preparing the Book on Every Bed packages for recipients of the local Food Banks and holds annual book sales to raise funds for programming.

To find out more about the bottle drive or how to become a member of the Friends of the Library, please email the library at [email protected] or call 613-678-2216.
