The MRC, the Caisse Desjardins d´Argenteuil and Argenteuil member of the Québec legislature, Agnès Grondin, have joined forces to launch the Bottin Saveurs et Culture, a directory of local food producers, artisans, and artists. The directory includes information about where to buy products, online sales, Facebook pages, and contact information. Usually, many of the same artisans and products are featured at the annual Lachute Christmas Fair, which has been cancelled this year due to the pandemic.
The MRC d´Argenteuil is also supporting the Galerie-boutique de la Route des Arts. From November 25 to December 20, the works and products of many artists and craftspeople of Argenteuil will be presented at 76, rue Clyde, in Lachute. All sanitary measures are in place to provide a pleasant and safe shopping experience.
“In this difficult period, it is very important to support our local economy, with solidarity, with pride, for the environment, but also, because we have strong artists and craftspeople who are talented, creative and inspiring, in addition to tasty and high quality local products!” said MRC d’Argenteuil Prefect Scott Pearce.
He also thanked the Caisse Desjardins d´Argenteuil, member of the legislature and Agnès Grondin, for their financial support for the project.
