The number active cases of COVID-19 in the MRC d’Argenteuil has continued to decrease.  As of November 20, there were six active cases across the nine municipality MRC, which was a decrease from seven active cases on Tuesday, November 17.  According to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority, the cumulative case count for Argenteuil was 257 as of Friday.

Argenteuil had the lowest number of active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides region as of November 17.  There were 445 active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides on Friday.

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Argenteuil as of November 20 remained at 11.

Schools and long-term care

The Centre d’éducation aux adultes CDC Lachute, was the only school in the MRC d’Argenteuil with a listed case of COVID-19 as of November 19.

No outbreaks of COVID-19 were in effect at long-term care facilities, other group living institutions, or hospitals across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of November 19.

The MRC d’Argenteuil remained as an orange zone under Québec`s regional system of COVID-19 measures, as of November 19.

Across Québec as of November 19, there were 11,599 active cases of COVID-19, according to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ).  There were 129,699 cumulative cases and 111,326 resolved cases as of Friday.

There were 624 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of November 19, and 96 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 6,774 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of November 19.
