For the past ten years, the Champlain Library has been providing children with a new book at Christmas through the “A Book on Every Bed” campaign.  The books are supplied to children whose families are recipients of Christmas baskets from both the Vankleek Hill and L’Orignal Food Banks.

Champlain Library is asking for donations of new books so that these children will wake up Christmas morning with a book on his or her bed.  The Library has a list of children which specifies the age, gender and language of each child.

If you would like to donate a book to this important program, please visit the library’s website at bc-cl.ca to complete an online submission form to match up with a child.  Once received, you will be contacted by a library staff member to confirm the details.   The Library will also accept monetary donations.  All books must be returned unwrapped with a gift bag and tissue paper by noon on Friday, November 27th.

For more information on this year’s “A Book On Every Bed” campaign and how you can help foster a generation of readers, visit bc-cl.ca or call the library at 613-678-2216.  Your support is greatly appreciated.
