The number of active cases of COVID-19 in the outbreak at the Prescott and Russell Residence in Hawkesbury continues.

According to the United Counties of Prescott and Russell, 38 residents and 23 employees remained positive as of Wednesday, October 28.

Cases have been resolved in 29 residents and 23 employees.

Fortunately, as of October 28, there had been no further deaths at the long-term care facility and the number remained at five.

There have been 118 cases of COVID-19 at the Residence due to the outbreak, affecting 72 residents and 46 employees.

Eastern Ontario Health Unit Medical Officer of Health Dr. Paul Roumeliotis said on Wednesday that another round of testing for all residents and employees at the Prescott and Russell Residence has been completed.
