Due to the COVID-19 epidemiological situation in the Outaouais region, public health authorities are putting the city of Gatineau and the neighbouring MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais to the red level (maximum alert) on Québec’s COVID-19 alert scale.
For residents, it is now not recommended to make non-essential trips between the red, orange, or yellow zones and outside of Québec. As of 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, October 11, bars, theatres, restaurants, except for deliveries, take-out or take-out orders in the region are closed. However, measures related to schools and sports will come into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, October 15.
