On October 3, 2020, shortly after 9:00 p.m., an officer from the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police attempted to speak to the operator of a motorcycle, which was stopped at the side of the road.

The incident happened on Raymond Street in City of Clarence-Rockland. The operator of the motorcycle fled when the officer approached, and was then involved in a single vehicle collision.

The rider, who was alone on the motorcycle was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The OPP has notified the Province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate.
