Dalkeith…Plus! welcomes the public to its 4th annual “Touch” event. This year the focus is on farm life and is called “Touch a Farmer”. The event opens Saturday, October 3 at 1 pm, and the show is on until 4 pm, rain or shine.

Visitors will see farm equipment of all sizes and informational displays outside. Admission is free, although donations are always welcome for this volunteer group.

Facemasks will be optional outdoors, but spacing will be enforced. Organizers will adhere to the new EOHU rules which limit capacity to 10 indoors, and requires masks. Despite the event’s name, visitors are asked to please maintain safe-distancing from farmers and other attendees!

Should the weather be unfavourable, or outdoor gathering limit reduced for public events, the display area will become a drive-though experience. Traffic will be directed, and visitors wishing to go inside can park next door.

No matter what format the event follows, a workplace-safety trained team is onsite, and the COVID crew will register guests and disinfect throughout the day.

Anyone interested in displaying their antique equipment, or their crowd-friendly farm animals, please contact Brenda Noble (613) 874 2946. Setup is between 10 and noon.

Dalkeith…Plus is located at 1835 County Road 23, just north of the stop sign in Dalkeith.
