A mini-fibre market will take place on Saturday, October 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Vankleek Hill Creating Centre at 11 High Street in Vankleek Hill. Blueberry Fields, Studio de laine Cactus Yarn Studio, Renard & Fleur and Les Belles Bouclettes will be on-site with their offerings, which include yarn and hand-made items.

To respect physical distancing, only four vendors will be featured at this event. You can get a sneak peek at what the vendors are all about here:

You can find Blueberry Fields on Instagram and visit the Etsy shop. This Dalkeith-based artisan offers happy socks and bags for knitters.

Cactus Yarn Studio, based in Gatineau, Quebec, will offer hand-dyed and hand-painted yarn. Find Cactus Yarn Studio on Facebook and on Etsy.

Renard & Fleur, formerly known as Foxprint Fibres, is based in Vankleek Hill and offers fibres in natural colours from backyard, field & forest. This includes yarns, threads and silk scarves. You can find Renard & Fleur on Etsy to take a look at their products.

Les Belles Bouclettes is also located near Vankleek Hill. It has a website, and thanks to working with several knitwear and crochet designers it has developed an exclusive pattern line using its own mohair yarns.

In the on-farm boutique, you will find mohair locks, rovings and yarns as well as some knitting and crochet kits, socks, various hand-made accessories and many other items. The farm is open at this time, with COVID-19 safety protocols in place. Visit the website to find out more.
