The TD Summer Reading Club at the Champlain Library has wrapped up for another year. About 80 children participated in this year’s program which offered a summer full of reading, inspiration, learning and adventure.

Some of the activities the children engaged in were Virtual Story Times, Wacky Wednesday challenges, at home experiments with Let’s Talk Science, take home Grab and Go craft kits and Zoom DIY craft sessions, not to mention the numerous book recommendations and challenges available on the TD Summer Reading Club website.

Each year the Champlain Library selects winners for each category of participants in the program. This year the winners for the age 0 to 5 years category were Norris Clark, Zakariya Ould-Brahim and Brantley Antonissen. The winners for the age 6 to 8 years category were Celeste Turgeon, Xavier Bélanger and Camdyn Hall and the winners for the age 9 to 13 years category were Sara Hurtado, Georgia Niederegger and Frances Kerr. All participants in the program received a prize.

The library thanks all of the children and parents for their support and participation in the 2020 Summer Reading Club and looks forward to offering many activities and opportunities in next year’s program. Congratulations to all.
