Russell County OPP continue to seek help from the public as part of homicide investigation

The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), is seeking potential video from the public in relation to a homicide investigation.

On July 24, 2020, at 11:56 p.m., the OPP was called to a residence on Lemay Circle in Rockland where they located a deceased 42-year-old male and a second male, 41-years old, with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The OPP is asking for the assistance of anyone who may have any video surveillance systems within the following defined areas to contact them.

  • The area of the Town of Rockland – see attached map, as well as
  • The areas of Russell County specifically along Highways 17, 174 and 34 between Rockland and Gloucester.

If you have any information on this homicide or have video surveillance that may assist in the investigation, please contact the OPP CIB Tip Line at 1-844-677-5060. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
