Russell OPP investigating a homicide in Clarence-Rockland

The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, is investigating a homicide in Clarence-Rockland.

On July 23, 2020, shortly before midnight, the OPP responded to a 911 call at a residence on Lemay Circle in Rockland. Officers located a deceased 42-year-old male and a second male 41 years old, with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The injured male was transported to hospital by Ottawa Paramedics.

The identity of the deceased person is not being released at this time.

The investigation is in its early stages and police do not believe there is a broader risk to public safety as a result of this incident.
