Long awaited bridge repairs in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge will begin soon.

The ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ), will begin repairing the Avoca Bridge over Rivière Rouge on chemin Walker in July.  The work is expected to last approximately 15 weeks.  The historic bridge has been closed since the spring of 2019 due to its deteriorated condition.  The closure has caused considerable challenges for residents of either side of the river and forced them to use much longer detours.

The MTQ is planning to preserve the historic architecture of the bridge and respect how it blends in with the surrounding natural scenery.
