66 per cent of Laurentides COVID-19 cases resolved as of June 9

According to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority, on Tuesday, June 9, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil remained at 68 for the second day.

The total number of deaths in Argenteuil due to COVID-19 as of June 8 remained at five.

The Laurentides region includes seven other MRC’s, and the municipality of Mirabel.  Across the region on June 9, there were 3,103 confirmed cases of COVID-19.  However, 66 per cent of the 3,103 Laurentides cases are now resolved.

Across the Laurentides region on Tuesday, there were 227 COVID-19 patients in hospital and 32 of those patients were in intensive care.  As of June 9, there had been 154 COVID-19 deaths in the Laurentides region.

There were no institutional outbreaks of COVID-19 in the MRC d’Argenteuil as of June 9.

Testing totals from Lachute

From May 25 to 28, a mobile COVID-19 testing and assessment centre operated in Lachute.  According to CISSS des Laurentides Director of Public Health, Dr. Éric Goyer, approximately 300 people were tested during the three days.

Across Québec

As of June 9, there had been 53,185 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across Québec, which was an increase of 0.3 per cent from June 8.  However, 36.4 per cent of the 53,185 cases were resolved.

As of June 9, 961 COVID-19 patients in Québec were in hospital, and 117 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 5,029 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 throughout Québec as of June 9.
