Town of Hawkesbury postponing 2020 Canada Day celebrations

Following public health guidelines set out for the COVID-19 pandemic by the Government of Ontario, the Town of Hawkesbury has decided to postpone its annual Canada Day celebrations that were supposed to be held on Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 1st 2020.

With the provincial order in place that bans public gatherings of more than five people, the town says it s simply following physical distancing rules which make these events impossible for the moment.

The town is looking at alternate options to celebrate Canada’s birthday and once it has a plan in place, it will be sharing all of the details.
