CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – During its regular meeting of April 20, 2020, the City of Clarence-Rockland’s Municipal Council made the following decisions in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

— All vacant positions are to remain vacant for the duration of the provincial State of Emergency, unless there are essential employee vacancies that are required to be filled in Protective Services;
— City facilities will remain closed until June 30, 2020, unless decided otherwise by Council. These facilities include but are not limited to;
o Clarence-Rockland Arena, Clarence Creek Arena and the Recreational and Cultural Complex (YMCA)
o Community halls
o Play structures and amenities in municipal parks
o Sports fields
o Off-leash dog park
o Skate parks
o The Clarence-Rockland Museum
o Boat ramps
o Splash pads
— The Seniors Games, the Ottawa River Festival and the Canada Day festivities are cancelled this year.

Furthermore, Council mandated staff to concentrate its efforts in reopening the landfill site and the leaf and yard waste transfer station as soon as possible. More details will be announced in the coming days.

Mise à jour du conseil municipal
CLARENCE-ROCKLAND – le 21 avril 2020 – Lors de sa réunion régulière du 20 avril 2020, le conseil municipal de la Cité de Clarence-Rockland a pris les décisions suivantes en lien avec la pandémie de COVID-19.
— Tous les postes vacants demeureront vacants pendant la durée de l’état d’urgence provincial, sauf s’il existe des postes vacants essentiels à combler au Service de la protection;
— Toutes les installations de la Cité demeureront fermées jusqu’au 30 juin 2020, à moins qu’il n’en soit décidé autrement par le conseil. Ces installations comprennent, mais ne sont pas limitées à; o L’Aréna Clarence-Rockland, l’aréna de Clarence Creek et le Complexe récréatif et culturel (YMCA) o Les salles communautaires o Les structures de jeux et équipements des parcs municipaux o Les terrains sportifs o Le parc à chien sans laisse o Les structures de planches à roulettes o Le musée Clarence-Rockland o Les rampes à bateaux o Les parcs de jeux d’eau
 Les Jeux des aînés, le Festival de la rivière des Outaouais et les festivités qui étaient prévues pour la Fête du Canada sont annulés cette année.
De plus, le conseil a mandaté l’administration à concentrer ses efforts à rouvrir le dépotoir et la station de transfert des résidus de jardin et de feuilles le plus rapidement possible. Plus de détails seront communiqués dans les prochains jours.
