Full fire ban in effect immediately in Champlain Township

In order to ensure public safety and well-being during the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, Champlain Township has decided to issue a full fire ban in the Township of Champlain. There will be a complete ban on fires, including CAMP FIRES and OPEN AIR FIRES until further notice.

This is a proactive action to reduce the number of preventable human-caused fires and to limit non-essential calls for service during the COVID-19 outbreak to help ensure that staff is available and healthy when emergencies occur.
