The first baby born at Hawkesbury and District General Hospital in 2020 arrived by surprise.  Alie Grenier was born at 8:57 p.m. on January 1.  Alie weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 18.5 inches long.  Her parents are Mélodie Taylor and Daniel Grenier of Alfred.

Alie’s birth was not expected for another 15 days.  However, her mother went into labour at a New Year’s party.

“Everything is good,” said Daniel about how baby, mother, and father are feeling following Alie’s arrival.
