Woman charged after car strikes house

After the car she was driving ran into a house, an 18-year-old has been charged with careless driving.

On November 3, 2019, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers and the Embrun Fire Department responded to a single vehicle collision on Maheu Street in Embrun, Ontario.

The investigation revealed that a vehicle was travelling westbound on Castlebeau Street when the driver lost control of the car and struck a a house on Maheu Street. The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by Prescott-Russell Emergency Medical Services.

As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old Embrun woman was charged with Careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
