The Nation Municipality will hold a delegation session on Monday, November 25, 2019, at 6 p.m. at The Nation Town Hall (958 Route 500 West, Casselman, ON) to allow residents and community groups to share their ideas and project suggestions with council for the 2020 budget.

Delegation requests, along with any supplementary information (presentation slides, etc.) must be submitted by email to the CAO/Clerk, Josée Brizard, at [email protected] or in person at The Nation Town Hall (958 Route 500 West, Casselman, ON) before November 20, 2019.

Delegations for recreation‐related projects

On January 7, 2019, multiple community groups had the chance to share their ideas and project suggestions with Council for the 2019 Budget. At that time, Council had decided to take a step back and evaluate its recreational infrastructures and programs by investing in a Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The Nation Municipality has since hired a firm to work on a Parks and Recreation Master Plan and the final report is scheduled to be presented to Council in January 2020.

For this reason, ideas and project suggestions related to recreation will not be reviewed during the November 25th delegation session, and the ideas and projects that were presented to Council in January 2019 will be reviewed upon receipt of the Final Parks and Recreation Master Plan. Therefore, a budgetary envelope will be put aside in the 2020 Municipal Budget in prevision of the recommendations of the Final Master Plan.

Budget meetings
Residents are also invited to attend the two budget meetings that will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019, and Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at The Nation Town Hall (958 Route 500 West, Casselman, ON) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
