The Glengarry Historical Society (GHS) has announced upcoming speakers for speaker series.

  • Allan McDonald will speak about “The McDonnell House, Future Home of the Archives” on October 3 2019 at the Sanfield Centre in Alexandria.
  • Mackie Robertson will speak about the “The Extraordinary Roderick J. McDonald Family” on November 7 2019 at the Alexandria United Church-on-the-hill.
  • Bernie MacCulloh will speak about “Glen Roy, A Historical Tour” on December 5 2019 at the Alexandria United Church-on-the-hill.
  • Robert MacPherson will speak about “Glengarry Agriculture, Historical Advances in Farm Implements” on January 2 2020 at Alexandria United Church-on-the-hill.
  • John Kalbfleish will speak about “A Stain upon the Land, Historical Novel Montreal murder touches Glengarry” on February 6 2020 at Sanfield Centre in Alexandria.
  • Suzanne Bujolt will speak about “Hong Kong POW calamity World War 2” on March 5 2020 at the Sanfield Centre in Alexandria.
  • Elizabeth McGillivray and ChloAnn Baker will speak about “memories of our grandfather, Glengarry Country Doctor” on April 2 2020 at the Alexandria United Church-on-the-hill.
  • There will be a potluck and general meeting on May 7 2020 at the Alexandria United Church-on-the-hill.

All events begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission for members is $5 and $10 for non-members
