Limoges Wastewater Treatment Facility will be upgraded

The Nation municipal council recently awarded the construction contract for the new Limoges Wastewater Treatment Facility to Thomas Fuller Construction Co. Limited. At the beginning of June 2019, the company started the construction work to upgrade the Limoges Wastewater Treatment Facility. The purpose of the project is to upgrade and optimize the lagoon, to provide additional treatment capacity and improve water quality.

Work will involve the construction of two new treatment buildings, a new UV channel, BioCord systems for the lagoons, new berms, piping, all associated site works, electrical and control works, testing and commissioning of all new equipment.

The Nation Municipality is expecting the construction to be completed by July 2020.

“This new wastewater treatment facility will allow us to grow and be prepared for future development. It’s a really good news for our community!”said François St-Amour, Mayor of The Nation Municipality
