Four days of fun and celebration are on the way for the 2019 Expo Lachute Fair.
This year’s fair goes from Thursday, July 11 to Sunday, July 14.
Thursday’s highlights include The Keeper’s wildlife animal show, bluegrass music with The Honeymead Brewers, snowmobile show, and opening ceremonies.
On Friday, the smell of diesel fuel will be in the air around the grandstand when the monster truck show and modified tractor pull takes place. That night in the entertainment tent, there will be classic country music and mechanical bull rides.
Heavy horse competitions, beef judging, the antique tractor pull, rock music, and more country music are part of Saturday’s activities. The popular demolition derby also takes place late on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday has a lighter schedule featuring the light horse competition, Holstein show, and the school bus-pickup truck demolition derby.
Of course, there are events that run all for days of the fair too. Those include farm machinery displays, animal exhibits, handicraft displays, 4H and Jeunes Rureaux exhibits, along with midway rides and games.
The Expo Lachute Fair takes place at the fairgrounds on Avenue Hamford in Lachute. For more information and a complete schedule, go to expolachutefair.com
